KLA-Tencor Corporation (KLA-Tencor) announced today that (1) on May 2, 2018, the 30-day waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, related to the proposed merger of KLA-Tencor with Orbotech Ltd. (Orbotech) expired, and (2) on May 2, 2018, the Israel Antitrust Authority granted KLA-Tencors request for an exemption from any premerger notification requirement in Israel related to the proposed merger with Orbotech.
